MOLT Museum is a museum concept inspired by the transformation process of a snake shedding its skin. It explores rebirth, evolution, and discovery, so that visitors experience transformation as a journey rather than simply viewing exhibitions.

The Story
Behind the concept.
Concept Inspiration
Moulting: the moment a living thing becomes vulnerable in order to grow. It is one of the few natural processes that is entirely about change, and it gave the project its structure as well as its name.
The Story Behind The Design
The mass evolves as a choreography of stone and light. Inside, circular walkways spiral around a central luminous void, so visitors trace the arc of their own transformation as they climb. Arched openings frame the city at chosen moments — reminders that shedding is always a passage between one world and the next.
Vision
To turn the museum from a container of objects into an experience of change.
The Thinking
Why This Concept Matters
It shows how architecture can work as a storytelling tool, producing emotional and memorable experiences rather than neutral display space.
What Makes It Different
The narrative is built into the section, not the signage. Remove every exhibit and the building still tells its story.
Visitor Experience
The visitor moves from a compressed, dark arrival into an ascending spiral of widening light, arriving at an open summit — the same sequence a moult follows, walked rather than read.
Design Value & Impact
A cultural anchor with a clear identity: easy to communicate, easy to photograph, and difficult to imitate.
Key Message
A museum can be a journey of transformation, not only a space for displaying objects.
