Oman Cultural Coast is a cultural destination concept celebrating Omani heritage, crafts, traditions, and coastal identity. It turns cultural material into an immersive journey where visitors experience the story of the place instead of looking at it behind glass.

The Story
Behind the concept.
Concept Inspiration
Working boats, drying nets, and craft workshops — heritage as something still being practised, not something already finished.
The Story Behind The Design
The masterplan is a gradient: a waterfront promenade and cultural village at sea level, terraced stone quarters above, private villas resting on the cliff. A single ceremonial spine ties the ascent together, so the visitor's journey from harbour to horizon mirrors the country's own story from sea to summit.
Vision
To keep cultural identity alive by giving it something to do.
The Thinking
Why This Concept Matters
Rather than preserving heritage visually, the concept lets people connect with culture emotionally — and gives local craft an economy rather than a display case.
What Makes It Different
Craftspeople are residents of the plan, not exhibits within it. The village functions whether or not visitors arrive that day.
Visitor Experience
Arrive at the harbour, walk through working workshops, eat where the catch lands, then climb — each level quieter than the last until only the sea remains.
Design Value & Impact
Tourism revenue that circulates locally, and a destination story a national tourism board can carry internationally.
Key Message
Culture should be experienced through place, not only observed.
